Description

Safeguarding of Adults training course is designed for entry-level staff – no prior safeguarding knowledge is necessary to complete this course. The Safeguarding of Adults training covers what safeguarding is, why safeguarding is important, how to recognise the signs of abuse, respond to a disclosure, and report safeguarding concerns.

This Safeguarding Adults E-Learning Course is aimed at anyone who has a duty of care for, or comes into contact with, adults in need of care and support, either as a paid professional or a volunteer. This includes, but isn’t limited to, those that work in domiciliary care, the NHS, community centres, prisons or with a family member at home, and sets out the roles and responsibilities everyone must undertake to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

Upon successful completion of this online course, learners will be awarded a CPD accredited Safeguarding of Adults certificate and can be used to provide evidence for compliance. Anyone working with vulnerable adults is required to have knowledge of how to safeguard at-risk adults. This knowledge can help protect and prevent vulnerable individuals from experiencing abuse and neglect, which in turn could change or, in some cases, save the lives of vulnerable people.
